All I could do was gaze in awe when I first saw Hosta 'High Fashion' in Hans Hansen's garden in 2009. Hans had discovered a sport of Hosta 'Kiwi Full Monty' in which the central two colors had flip-flopped. Inside the blue-green leaf, the narrow band of white had become the central pattern and the typical dull grey center had become a tiny irregular streak between the blue outside and the creamy inside. Hosta 'High Fashion' makes a stunning 20" tall x 3' wide clump with good vigor. Very open shade or a couple of hours of morning sun are best. This could be the same sport as the newly introduced Hosta 'Pin-up', so a side-by-side comparison will be needed. We have not put this in tissue culture, so all we have is what we divided from the original clump...limited quantities.
