From the garden of plantswoman Janet Starnes, comes this amazing hellebore...one of the first with truly variegated foliage. The upright 20" stalks of Helleborus argutifolius 'Janet Starnes' are clothed with trifoliate (three-lobed) leaflets. Each green leaflet is entirely speckled white, suffused with a light pink overlay. The coloring appears strongest in early spring when the new growth emerges and holds until late summer (longer in cool climates). Helleborus argutifolius 'Janet Starnes' is topped in late winter/early spring with 20" spikes of light green flowers. This is a true impulse plant...when you see it, you must get it! Good winter drainage is essential for best results.
