This Geranium x oxonianum hybrid (G. endressii x G. versicolor) was selected at Washington's Heronswood Nursery as a seedling from G. 'Walter's Gift'. The 15" wide x 15" tall clump of glossy green, serrated foliage is highlighted by large, dark black-purple patterns in the center of each leaf. In late spring and summer, the clumps are topped with flower stalks that hold the light pink flowers just above the foliage. The 1997 introduction was so stunning that it was named after Heronswood co-founder Robert Jones' mother, Katherine Adele Jones.
