From England's Rosemary Hardy comes this unique selection of Gaillardia x grandiflora (G. aristata x G. pulchella) that arose in 2002 as a mutant seedling from her sowing of Gaillardia 'Dazzler'. The 2.5" wide flowers are composed of an orange cone with a yellow center, surrounded by petals which are orange at the base of the cone with a small band of yellow on the outer tips. The 2' wide x 18" tall clumps are topped from early summer until fall with a blanket of wonderful flowers. Well drained soils that stay on the dry side are best.
