Erigeron pulchellus 'Lynnhaven Carpet' is an outstanding form of the US native (Canada south to Florida) Robin's plantain. Erigeron 'Lynnhaven Carpet' was selected on the Virginia Beach property of Clarice Keeling, near the Lynnhaven River, and subsequently named by Pennsylvania plantsman, Charles Cresson. Erigeron 'Lynnhaven Carpet' has larger than normal foliage on a thick, slowly-spreading, easy-to-grow groundcover that also comes with a 10-year, stain-resistant warranty. The evergreen, ground-hugging, fuzzy, grey-green leaves form a thick mat, topped in late spring with a profusion of very pale lavender daisies on 1' tall stalks...a butterfly favorite. Erigeron pulchellus is very drought tolerant in dry shade...a condition that many other plants find objectionable.
