Eranthis cilicica is a winter-blooming ranunculus relative that emerges in mid-February like a tiny green umbrella with a small yellow cup glued to the top. After flowering, the dissected leaves continue to expand until the entire plant goes dormant in late spring. Some taxonomists consider Eranthis cilicica to the be the same as Eranthis hyemalis, but at the very least, these represent different populations with slightly different flowering times. Eranthis prefers a well-amended organic soil that stays damp for extended periods. Instead of offering dormant tubers, which rarely sprout, we offer potted, growing bulbs.
