We are thrilled to be able to offer this recently named (1995) rare, naturally occurring evergreen hybrid (E. acuminatum x E. fangii) from the far reaches of China's famed Mt. Omei. This vigorous grower is composed of tall wiry stems, each clothed with three large leaves...often mottled red in spring. The clumps are topped in early spring by 2' long stalks with up to 50 large 2" pink spider-like flowers on each stem. The underside of each flower consists of nicely contrasting violet spurs, giving the overall appearance of a bicolor flower.
