(aka: D. d. 'Recurvata') The recurved wood fern makes a broad deciduous mound 3' tall to 3-4' across. The sparsely populated (pinnately impaired) fronds curve downward on the edges of each leaf giving a very unique appearance. This fern is best used in combination with other woodland plants unless you're trying to freak out woodland visitors...bizarre!
