This charming dwarf form of Dryopteris affinis was selected in the UK around 1880, but is still difficult to find. The tiny clumps, to 6" tall x 6" wide, are composed of narrow, upright, congested fronds, each with upturned tips. Since D. 'Crispa Gracilis' is so small, be sure that it is sited well away from larger plants that might accidentally smother it to death...perfect for the woodland rock garden.
