This wonderful new introduction from Germany's Ernst Pagels is a much improved white-flowered form of the US native Dicentra eximia. D. 'Aurora' boasts ferny-textured blue-green foliage on a 1' wide clump. Beginning in early spring, the clumps are topped with thin spikes that hold the dangling white flowers above the foliage. For us, D. 'Aurora' flowers much longer than the typical white selections, heavily in spring, sporadically through the summer, and heavily again in fall. We love to plant these around in the woodland garden for great textural combinations.
