In the world of plant breeding, ferns have been among the most overlooked. Of course, this could have something to do with the fact that they don't produce flowers. Nevertheless, we are finally seeing a few fern hybrids starting to enter the market. We are very pleased to make this rare hybrid of two holly ferns available. The result is a hardier holly fern (from the C. caryotideum) combined with the glossy foliage of the less hardy C. falcatum. We are uncertain of its northern limit, so this is for gardeners who enjoy experimentation...with plants.
