Crinum 'White Prince' relation to the Fresh Prince, or the late singer formerly known as Prince, is actually a Les Hannibal hybrid of Crinum yemense (album) x Crinum moorei. Crinum 'White Prince' makes a fine garden plant, whose lush, glossy green foliage is topped, starting in early June (NC), with 3' stalks, each holding up to a dozen large, pendulous, white, fragrant flowers with recurved tips. Crinum 'White Prince' was Hannibal's attempt to re-create Luther Burbank's 'White Queen', but he guessed wrong about the parentage...oh well, a nice mistake!
