Crinum 'Fragrant Lady' is a Marcelle Sheppard introduction that started its life when Marcelle received seed labeled "Crinum abyssinicum" from the late Crinum breeder Les Hannibal. The result is an amazing plant that Marcelle named Crinum 'Fragrant Lady'. In the garden, Crinum 'Fragrant Lady' produces glossy green foliage, topped, starting in early July (NC) with 3' tall spikes that end in a terminal cluster of 9-11 large, fragrant, white flowers, each with a faint pink tip. These have only been offered for sale (not by us) once before at the introductory price of $100 each.
