This selection of the beautiful sun fern, Cheilanthes myriophylla, comes from 8,960' elevation in the Argentine province of Salta. In the wild, this species grows in very well-drained rock cracks. The adorable 6" tall clumps are composed of delicate-looking grey-green leaves. C. myriophylla makes a superb potted plant, but has been difficult to grow in the open garden because of excessive winter moisture. Get yours while they last.
