(syn: C. nepalensis, Tripora divaricata) Forget everything you know about caryopteris! Picture a clumping perennial with 5' stalks of 2" long green leaves. In midsummer, the stalks are topped with clouds of delightfully airy light blue flowers with stamens curled back looking like the head of a ram...or an over-moussed punk rocker...very bizarre. C. divaricata is an easy-to-grow deer resistant perennial that makes an excellent blending plant for the border.
