This is the hard-to-find green version of C. 'Sparkler'. Just like C. 'Sparkler', the evergreen clump gives rise to dozens... maybe hundreds of 1' tall stems, each ending with a palm tree-like tuft of whorled foliage. A mature clump of C. phyllocephala is guaranteed to garner attention in your woodland garden. We like to use it as a specimen plant against softer textures or for a cut stem in arrangements, where the whorls of foliage can be appreciated. C. phyllocephala prefers slightly moist soils.
