I love this plant...but then again, I've never been known to be normal. Leatherleaf sedge is certainly an aquired taste. The upright form of narrow grass-like foliage maintains its bronzy red "dead" appearance all season. One of the great features is that you'll never know if you kill it. We like to use leatherleaf sedge as a great foil against blues and golds in the border. Leatherleaf sedge prefers slightly moist soils for best results.
