From NC's own Lord-of-Lobelias, Thurman Maness, comes a dramatic new hardy begonia. Developed at Thurman's top secret Wildwood Laboratory, B. 'Wildwood Purity', has the same growth habit as the parent, except that the leaves have a dark olive drab cast to the front and a brilliant red back... much brighter than the species. From July to frost in NC, the clumps are topped with clusters of pink flowers. B. 'Wildwood Purity' spreads by means of tiny bulbils that are formed in the stem axils.
