B. nuttalliana is virtually unknown outside it's native habitat in east Texas. The clumps appear as little round meatballs, 18" tall x 18" wide. In early to mid-May, they are adorned with yellow pea-like flowers appearing in the leaf axils. While this is not as showy as many other species, it is quite unique in appearance. This seed collection was made 13 miles outside of Madison, TX.
