(syn: B. leucantha) Since baptisias are so promiscuous in cultivation, we prefer to offer our species either from wild-collected seed or grown from cuttings. This seed-grown offering of the former B. leucantha (now B. alba var. macrophylla) comes from Livingston Co., Illinois where it was collected by our nursery manager, Mike Spafford. The plants in this small population consisted of very attractive, 5' tall specimens (in bloom) with particularly large, pure white flowers.
