(syn: Eurybia divaricata) This quirky little attention-getter has drawn an amazing amount of ooohs and whatzats in our display gardens. Selected by Hans Hansen from his home garden in Waseca, Minnesota, this small native aster forms a 10" wide basal rosette of heart-shaped leaves. Each leaf is heavily streaked with a dramatic white confetti-like pattern. In late spring, the flowering stalks rise to 2' tall, topped in early summer with small light lavender flowers.
