(syn: Microglossa albescens) On my China expedition in fall 1996, this was one of the most exciting plants I found. At 9,800' in the Cang Shan Mountain Range on dry rocky banks, we encountered this stunning shrubby aster. The 3-4' tall x equally wide clumps were smothered in 6" clusters of apple pink flowers in mid October! If this proves half as good as it looked in the wild, this new aster will set the gardening world on its collective ears!
