Asarum magnificum is one of the most beautiful and highly prized of the Chinese gingers. This selection comes from Ozzie Johnson of Itsaul Plants. The large, thick leaves are usually dark green and patterned with a large silver streak on each half of the leaf. In late spring, you can't help but notice the large flowers of black-purple, with a wrinkled white throat poking out from between the foliage. This easy-to-grow clump-former makes a superb specimen plant in the woodland garden.
