This dwarf Korean species looks like a miniature astible, except for the increased heat tolerance. The tiny tufts of very dissected foliage is topped in late summer and into fall with 3" spikes of white...perfect for late season interest in the woodland rock garden. The seed were collected from a dry rocky creek bank on Cheju Island during our fall 1997 expedition to South Korea.
