This spectacular native to our mountains and throughout the central US is like a giant aruncus on steroids. The giant pinnate foliage clothes the upright 6' stalk which terminates in midsummer with giant panicles of white flowers. As the flowers fade, they are replaced by hundreds of tiny purple berries. A. racemosa prefers a moist site.
