From an Alan Galloway expedition, this Thailand selection of A. koratensis is similar to others in terms of flower and foliage, but has a stem of medium green with small black spots. The base of each stem has a dark red purple coloration which can extend several inches up the stalk. Each 6' tall stalk is topped with the typical giant foliage. Unlike most amorphophallus species, A. koratensis seems to grow best when kept potted during the winter months.
