Mistakenly initially identified as A. koratensis, this rare form has finally flowered and has been positivitly identified as a rare black stem form of A. konjac. The thick fleshy stalks, one per bulb, are wonderfully black reaching a maximum height of 3-4'! On top of each stem is a palmate tropical looking leaf. The flower, which occurs in early May when the bulb gets large enough has the same "purple vinyl" spathe and spadix formation as in the species....absolutely stunning!
