This ground cover for moist sunny spots or even light shade is composed of small scalloped leaves of dark green, each with a irregular wide creamy border. A. 'Vanilla Chip' spreads via short rhizomes which quickly form new plants, resulting in a nice mat. The clumps are topped with short spikes of blue-lavender flowers in late spring. A. 'Vanilla Chip' will not agressively take over, as will some of the more rambunctious member of the genus.
