This attractive century plant came to us, unidentified, from Stephenie Thomas of Nevada. We since determined it to be a creamy-edged selection of Agave sisalana that we've named Agave 'Vegas Strip'. In the ground where winter temperatures don't freeze, Agave 'Vegas Strip' could reach 4' tall, but in a container our plant remains under 2'. Agave sisalana 'Vegas Strip' is composed of unarmed, thick, blue-green leaves edged with creamy stripes. As a century plant species, Agave sisalana has never been known from the wild and is most likely an old Mexican hybrid.
