Agave isthmensis 'Ohi Raijin Shiro Nakafu' (white centered-thunder queen) is a very rare variegated selection of the dwarf butterfly century plant, Agave isthmensis, which hails from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec along the southern coast of Oaxaca, Mexico. Agave 'Ohi Raijin Shiro Nakafu' makes a tight clump to 4" tall x 4" wide that produces pups from the leaf axils instead of via underground runners. Although Agave isthmensis doesn't have much winter hardiness, it makes a superb container specimen since it stays so small. This is typically a century plant that is only available in collector circles for prices well over $100 each.
