(aka: Ligularia tussilaginea) Farfugium 'Green Teeth' is a 2021 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of our wild collected selection of the unique form of Farfugium japonicum that grows native in Taiwan. Looking quite different from the typical farfugium in the trade, Farfugium japonicum var. formosanum has a much smaller, thicker, and more pointed-lobed leaf. For us, it makes a much smaller clump to 14" tall x 3' wide, topped, starting in mid-October with 2' tall stalks of bright yellow daisies. Where this was growing in the wild was primarily open grasslands, so part sun to very light shade is best. It's taken us over twelve years to build up enough stock to finally share.
