Oxalis violacea 'Lufkin Lover' is a 2020 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of our 1998 collection from just north of Lufkin, Texas. We've collected Oxalis violacea throughout its native range, mostly East of the Mississippi, and this is the best flowering form we've ever seen. Oxalis violacea 'Lufkin Lover' has solid green leaves that form a 6" tall x 1' wide clump. Starting in mid-April for us (NC), the clumps are topped with a stunning floral display of lavender flowers. Oxalis violacea goes summer dormant (dormant bulbs are smaller than a pea), re-emerging with a second show in October.
