I never imagined I'd get that excited about a ligustrum, but Ligustrum 'Little Moon' is an amazing rock garden-sized specimen that's a must have. The dense 2' tall x 30" wide clumps (7 years and no pruning) are clothed with 1.5" long, glossy, dark green leaves that are densely packed on the twiggy stems. The mounds are topped with attractive proportional sprays of white flowers in late May. If you've longed for a no prune foundation shrub, you're prayers have been answered with Ligustrum 'Little Moon'. Thanks to Gulf Coast plantsman Bobby Green for sharing.
