Agave parviflora ssp. flexiflora is the Sonora, Mexico counterpart to the southern Arizona Agave parviflora ssp. parviflora. The narrow, dark green, finger-shaped, 6" long leaves are adorned with chalky, white angular bands on both the top and bottom...quite stunning! The 6" tall x 1' wide solitary (non-offsetting) clumps are then also adorned with curly white hairs. When Agave parviflora ssp. flexiflora flowers, the small yellow flowers on a 6' tall spike have a distinct sharp bend, which sets it apart from the other Agave parviflora subspecies. Our plants sailed through 9 degrees F in 2013/2014, and even flowered the following spring after only four years in the ground.
