Sarracenia leucophylla 'Hurricane Creek White' is a seed strain of white-topped pitcher plants introduced by plantsman John Hummer from plants from the now-destroyed site in Hurricane Creek, Alabama. The 2' tall pitchers begin forming in May (NC) and are green at the base with a netted white hood that only shows the red-veining as they age. As with all Sarracenia leucophylla forms, Sarracenia 'Hurricane Creek White' forms a second abundant crop of new pitchers in late summer and early fall. The red flying saucer-like flowers top the clump in late April.
