(aka: Asaparagus sprengeri) Asparagus densiflorus 'Graham's Cracker' is a truly superb introduction from NC gardener Graham Ray, who shared this gem for us to trial. Asparagus 'Graham's Cracker' makes a very tight, very upright 15" tall x 15" wide clump...a splendid rock garden specimen. In addition, Asparagus 'Graham's Cracker' is far more winter hardy than any selection of Asparagus densiflorus that we've ever seen, surviving for many years in Western Michigan Zone 5b. For us, Asparagus 'Graham's Cracker' is tardily deciduous, turning a beautiful shade of gold before going dormant, but it should remain evergreen in warmer climates.
