Dasylirion glaucophyllum, an evergreen woody lily from Hidalgo, Mexico, is one of the largest of the sotols. Each 4' tall x 7' wide clump is composed of wavy, 1"+ wide, powder blue leaves that are well-armed on each side with thorns. When mature, Dasylirion glaucophyllum clumps are adorned with a 7' tall flower spike of small white flowers that age to tan. Our oldest garden clumps of the drought-tolerant Dasylirion glaucophyllum have grown well since 1999. This offering is seed grown from plants in the Marbles Park region of Northern Hidalgo.
