(aka: T. lancifolium A1AL-054) Trillium lancifolium 'White Plains' are our flowering seedlings from an original plant from Alabama's Calhoun County at 760' elevation where they grew in large masses in a seasonally flooded woodland. The 6-8" tall stalks are topped with dark olive mottled leaves that are wider and more oblong than the normally pointed leaves that Trillium lancifolium is named for. Topping the foliage are the very narrow dark purple petals, which are much narrower than is typical with the species. Trillium lancifolium 'White Plains' is very easy to grow in typical garden conditions, but it really thrives in moist sites. These are in fairly short supply, and since they take 5 years from seed, this will be it for a while.
