Lycoris x straminea 'Red Hot Lover' is a 2021 Plant Delights/JLBG release of a Phil Adams hybrid that is two parts Lycoris radiata and one part Lycoris chinensis. The result is a small surprise lily that produces 18" tall scapes, starting in mid-August with dainty heads of dazzling, brilliant red flowers. Lycoris 'Red Hot Lover' has been a consistent flowering selection in our trials. The winter-growing foliage emerges after the flowering period in late September.
