Finally, a gold foliaged fountain grass...a delight for garden designers. Pennisetum 'JS Jommenik' was discovered in Jan Spruyt's Belgium Nursery as a solid gold sport of Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Gelbstiel'. The 1' tall x 2' wide clumps emerge bright gold in spring, but ages to chartreuse, then green as summer heat arrives. In late summer, the clumps are topped with 2' tall stalks of bunny tail-like plumes.
