(aka: Scabiosa 'Balfluttropi') Scabiosa 'Flutter Rose Pink' is a 2017 clonal introduction from Ball Seed that arose from their breeding program designed to create more compact scabiosa with larger flowers. We agree that they have accomplished both goals with this dramatic improvement over the short-lived Scabiosa 'Pink Mist'. In the garden, expect this European/African native to form a 20" tall x 3.5' wide clump (much larger than the breeder promoted) that's topped for us from May through September with lovely textured pink flowers that are held just above the foliage. The flowers are a great nectar sources for a number of butterflies and moths.
