For a small garden that doesn't have room for a full-figure palm, we've got the solution. Sabal minor 'Chipola Dwarf' is a dwarf form of the native Southeast US, bush palmetto. This discovery by plantsman Hayes Jackson in Jackson County, Florida, near the town of Marianna, matures at 2' tall x 5' wide in the garden, adorned in fall with 4' long, arching spikes of black fruit.
