Artemisia ludoviciana 'Fredericksburg' is our introduction of a Patrick McMillan collection from near Fredericksburg, Texas, of a slowly enlarging form of the typically maniacally spreading silver wormwood. Native from Canada south to California, Artemisia ludoviciana is a dryland desert denizen, where it makes a stunning silver carpet, although its' use in a typical garden setting is limited by its aggressiveness. Visitors to Clemson's South Carolina Botanic Garden will see Artemisia 'Fredericksburg' used throughout the garden in medians and other hot, dry, low maintenance spots. We are thrilled to make this amazing 2' tall x 3' wide, weeping, silver-foliage selection more widely available.
