We are pleased to offer the very rare white-flowered form of the treasured US native Cypripedium reginae. These are flowering-sized and nursery-propagated from seed as a cultivar strain, so each plant is a unique clone. Cypripedium reginae is one of the latest species to emerge in spring, but when it does the 18" tall stems are topped with white, pocketbook-like flowers in late June or early July depending on your climate. Cypripedium reginae prefers a partially open site with a moist, neutral or slightly acid soil. Cypripedium reginae should only be grown by experienced gardeners, as the cost of failure is too high for novices.
