Erigeron 'Meadow Muffin' is a fabulous selection of the North American native (all states East of the Mississippi) erigeron, found by We-Du Nursery founder, Dick Weaver, along railroad tracks in Marion, NC. The flat evergreen rosettes to 6" wide have unusually crinkled leaves, resembling a "Meadow Muffin"...that's bovine excrement to you city folks. The plants are slowly stoloniferous (not weedy) forming a tight, weed-free mat to 4' wide in 5 years. In late spring, the patch is topped with a mass of 10" stalks of pink daisies... a totally COOL native plant. Average-to-dry soils in light shade is perfect.
