(aka: Helleborus COSEH 710) Helleborus 'Pink Frost' is a fantastic Helleborus niger hybrid from the Heuger hellebore breeding program. Helleborus 'Pink Frost' is particularly vigorous and floriferous, beginning in mid-February when the outward-facing flowers open pink and age to a lovely dark pinkish-red. Helleborus 'Pink Frost' has been a favorite of all who've seen it!

Maintenance:

Helleborous 'Pink Frost' is a virtually maintenance-free perennial. When the new flowers have emerged in late winter and are above the old foliage, we prefer to remove the old foliage to allow for a better floral show. If the old foliage still looks pristine, then there is no need to remove it.

Since Pink Frost lenten rose is sterile, there are no old flowers to remove to prevent seedling. In fact, in our climate, the old flowers remain with a lovely pink hue well into summer.

Growing Conditions:

Pink Frost lenten rose prefers a very light open shade, but will also do fine with a couple of hours of early day sun. The most important key is to provide good drainage, since lenten roses strongly dislike waterlogged soils.

Garden Value:

Pink Frost lenten rose provides a wonderful patch of color in the winter garden, whose foliage remains during the summer.

Natural Impacts:

Pink Frost lenten rose is great for attractive honeybees to the winter garden when temperatures allow.
