Rhodophiala bifida Oxblood Lily Selections
Rhodophiala is a genus of small bulbs related to Hippeastrum (commonly sold as amaryllis). While most rhodophiala species are native to Chile, we find most of these ungrowable in our hot, humid climate in the Southeast US. We have consequently focused on making selections of Rhodophiala bifida from Argentina, which thrives in a wide range of adverse conditions. This gallery contains some of our selections as well as from others with an interest in the genus Rhodophiala. We will continue to offer seed-grown Rhodophiala bifida plants for sale, which range widely from pink to red, and will add more clonal rhodophiala selections as we build up stock.
