We have discovered that there are a few chlorophytum species in this primarily tropical genus that are cold hardy in Southeast gardens. Our perennial Chlorophytum selections all form basal rosettes and are topped with spikes of small, white star-like flowers in summer and fall.
Chlorophytum prefers part sun, well-drained soil, and plenty of compost.
