From Steven Eggleton of Australia comes the latest twist on the US native Gaura lindheimeri. G. 'Bijou Butterflies' makes a 2' tall x 2' wide clump of stems adorned with narrow, green leaves, each edged in white and overlain with red...quite stunning. If the foliage isn't enough, the clumps are topped with spikes of flowers from summer through fall that resemble pink butterflies.
