This tall-growing Chinese species is adorned with fairly large, evergreen foliage, emerging from a tight, clump-forming rhizome. The tiny white-and-yellow bicolor flowers are produced in mass on stalks held well above the foliage. Despite the small flower size, this is truly an exciting evergreen addition to the woodland garden. In our trials of over 150 different epimediums, E. pubescens has the best-looking residual evergreen foliage in springtime.
